Kill Bill is a two-part action thriller film released in 2003 and 2004 by writer-director Quentin Tarantino, and starring Uma Thurman as The Bride. Originally conceived as one film, it was released in two 'volumes' (in late 2003 and early 2004) due to its running time of approximately four hours. The film is an epic-length revenge drama, with homages to earlier film genres, such as Hong Kong martial arts films, Japanese Chanbara films, exploitation films and Italian spaghetti westerns; an extensive use of popular music and pop culture references; and aestheticization of violence. After Quentin Tarantino won the Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival by Pulp Fiction.Quentin Tarantino become the most famous film maker that he got a huge number of fans around the world in a short time.Many people love his movie and the way he shot a film.Because you can thought his beautiful movie to see the truth about the world. After 5 years later Quentin Tarantino declared that he would absolutely shot a action movie.So another great film was born.

Kill Bill start at 17th June 2002 end at 3nd March 2003.This is the 4th film by Quentin Tarantino. This movie is a series of non-linear story which is one of the skill to film a movie.And Quentin Tarantino uses this skill very well .It seems every movies which shot by Quentin Tarantino will be used with this skill. so although this is a series of non-linear story . Kill Bill is still easy for spectators to understand .


Such as every scene's beginning.It will show spectators which part is.That they can easy to understand what is happening next.

So the story is talking about a woman the name is "Black Manba"who is one of the killer in a secret union.Due to she get a baby that she decided to wash her hands of never working for the union.However although she wants to live in a peaceful life,Bill as the leader of the secret union and his under members who are "copperhead","cottonmouth","side winder"and"California mountain snake " to destroy what she want and try to kill her.But she still alive under a serious attack that after in a coma near four years long.She wakes up and unfolds her revenge.
At the beginning of the film there is a sentence "Revenge is a dish best served cold" As the matter of fact those words come from the other Classic science fiction film Star Trek And this sentence is showing the whole movie's fundamental Key which is violence.As we all know that inQuentin Tarantino's movies,violence is always can be fond out. And in his movies violence is not just only violence but also is a kind of beauty. That we call it aestheticization of violence.Because Quentin Tarantino makes the violence in his movies more like a dance ,a show and a poetry.

Then during the beginning of the film there is also a song as the background's song which is the Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).This song is sang at 1966 by Nancy Sinatra and its lyric just like to describe what is the story going on and what will happen in Kill Bill. First of the all, we see the scene which is a black-and-white and a close up shot.It shows a really powerful picture to spectators which the female lead is beat very terrible and this is the beginning of the movie. And there is a detail in this scene which is Bill's name on the handkerchief. It tells to the spectator that who is Black Manba's target. At the end of this black-white scene,Black Manba told to Bill that is his baby but just after she finish her word,BANG,he shots her down. That also left a interesting question.Does Bill will regret what he did or as a killer does he can even ignore this?

Then after introducing actors and actresses. A such beautiful and harmonious picture shows up. If compare with the beginning of the film this scene makes a really strong visual shock for the spectators. It is hard to think a big storm will be happen in the nice house later. However during the fight time the house's master's daughter comes home and female lead stop fighting in front of the little girl. That is telling the spectator female lead not only get a steady mind to revenge but also get a kind-heart.
The next scene is comeing back to four years before and introduce what exactly happen at that moment.And then the next scene jumps back to four years later. In fact not many directors can play this kind of the skill as better as Quentin Tarantino. That is also becoming one of the reasons to make he such successful in his movies. With this scene there is a background song which you can get the same feeling as inside of female lead. However the background song just suddenly stop when the scene turns into the car. It seems something is going to change. As the matter of fact female lead is disable at the moment.so before she find the car she is exciting that background music also sounds happy, but after she finds it she can not drive the car so the background need to stop that it can match what the female lead feel as well. Therefore everything is described so clear with useing the music. After she gets in the car and try to will her limbs out of entropy. So many people think that is a bug in the film how can a disable people to get health in a shot time but this is kind of exaggeration and symbolic means to show how strong the will that female lead has. Next scene is a special scene to introduce O-Ren Ishii whose codename is "cottonmouth". Quentin Tarantino use the Japanese cartoon to introduce cottonmouth, to describe how dark inside cottonmouth is .However although is cartoon the violence as better as the real people scene. And it is such success lots of spectator like it. some America film critics say Quentin Tarantino uses the cartoon in the film is a clever way to prevent the film sort to NC-17 level due to there is a pedophile in the scene.

In this scene after female lead goes to japan to ask the famous Japanese samurai sword maker who is Hattori Hanzo and he promises female lead to give her a Japanese samurai sword. And here is a special scene which use the lens flare that is such a nice picture.everything under the soft and warm light and we can see how happy female lead is especially when she focus on the Japanese steel. It is not only to show how happy she is but also show the Japanese samurai sword how important it is.
Then here is a interesting scene which is showing how she hates Bill without saying anything but just doing this, not even want to see a little about Bill.

After Black Manba gets the Hattori Hanzo's sword the most wonderful scene is coming.Hardly a hour fighting is happening . Black Manba wear in a yellow suit who looks

.This is Quentin Tarantino to respect the greatest martial artist in the world.fighting is staring at cutting Sofie's arm who is the most close friend with O-Ren Shii.


Much blood is spouting like the spring. Then suddenly the slugfest scene turns black-white shot. However when the scene turns colour shot. It makes the visual shock more stronger. Full of the broken limbs and the blood. It also show when a human who get a really steady revengeful heart .noting can stop this.

For adding more colour in Kill Bill. Quentin Tarantino make this blue background scene and show up a different kind of the fighting. Quentin Tarantino love the east aestheticization of violence too.

At the end of the fighting Black Manda is fighting with Cotton Mouth under the snow. This moment fighting is not fighting, it is a poetry. A beautiful and soft poetry.

The last but not the least of Kill Bill, the scene turn black-white shot again and this time it shows a new information which is to explain what happen before the attack Black Manba and that also tell to the spectator everything will be told in Kill Bill 2
