2981 - Eddy - Danny Boyle

Danny Boyle is one of my favourite directors, he is a famous talented awards winning British director. His road to fame start with his second film Trainspotting (1996), which I still think is his best one. He has used phenomenon visual effects(not the quality, but the imagination) and musics to describe the vicious lives of a bunch of young Scotish people.

I can still remember the scene that the lead character jumped into the dirtiest toilet of Scotland to find the drug and suddenly he was in his imaginary world -deep in the sea, another remarkable scene was when he was using the drug and he feels like he is sinking into the floor. By the way, this movie is also one of my favourite Ewan McGregor's movies, along with Star Wars: Episode I (1999) and Big Fish (2003).

The Beach (2000) is also a good movie of Danny Boyles' (Just to clarify, I know those two movies are quite controversial because they are about drugs, I don't know why Boyle was keep doing this subject). After that, 28 Days Later (2002) is definitely the best zombie film for me, and of course, Millions (2004) and Slumdog Millionaire (2008) (Won 8 Oscars including best directing and best motion picture).

I like Danny Boyle not only because the stories he has chosen, but also the way he using the stories to create a very very different and creative visual and sound impact. He has boundless imaginations and wonderful taste of music and he absolutely knows how to combine them with the story.
